Matthew Donahue

Vice President & Chief Impact Officer

Matt is Heart of Maine United Way’s Chief Impact Officer and is responsible for leading, overseeing and innovating the organization’s community impact initiatives. He holds Bachelor of Arts in Public Management and Master of Public Administration degrees from the University of Maine. 

Prior to working at HoMEUW, Matt served as the Director of Client Services at UniversityTickets, and as Program Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine.  

Matt is a 2013 graduate of the Bangor Region Leadership Institute. He has been an active volunteer for over two decades, including work with Bangor West Little League, where he currently serves as the President, Bangor YMCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine, the City of Bangor, and United Way. In his free time, he enjoys travelling and is an avid sports fan. 

Matt lives in Bangor with his husband, Derek, and sons, Christopher and Owen.
