Our Vision
We envision a community where every person experiences stability, where hunger and homelessness are relics of the past, and safety is a given. In this vision, seeking treatment and recovery services is met without barriers or stigma. Parents and caregivers can access high-quality childcare, equipped with the tools and resources to support their families. Our youth are not just part of the community; they are actively engaged, empowered, and resilient. Together, we pave the way for a community where everyone plays a role in making a difference.

With an estimated population of 345,656 our region is filled with outdoor adventures, rural communities, bustling historic town centers, great business success stories, and its own unique set of community challenges and needs. Evolving our role to become what the community requires to respond to the most pressing issues, Heart of Maine United Way (HoMEUW) wants to engage more people, raise awareness of the issues our communities face, and activate our cross-sector network of partners.
