Helping Hands with Heart
Sue Mackey Andrews has a history of advocacy supporting the health and well-being of children and families on a national, state, and local level. Now retired, Sue volunteers in leadership roles locally in the Maine Highlands including Helping Hands with Heart (HHH) and the Working Community Challenge (WCC). As a former business owner and now, facilitator of local coalitions focusing on public health and prevention, Sue brings considerable knowledge of the importance of collaboration, early intervention, and the significant importance of families in the development of supportive caring communities across the lifespan. Sue is a co-founder of the Maine Resilience Building Network (MRBN) and also serves on the Maine Commission on the Permanent Status of Women, is an advisor to The Bingham Program, Chairs the Penquis District Public Health Council and is an appointed member on the Statewide Coordinating Council for the Maine CDC.
