BANGOR, ME – Heart of Maine United Way is thrilled to announce the Bundle Celebration, an event showcasing the success of the transformative Bundle project, generously sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank. The celebration will take place at the Bangor Savings Bank branch in Dover-Foxcroft on Thursday, November 16, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
Bundle, a Heart of Maine United Way initiative, focuses on supporting families, children, and caregivers in the Maine Highlands region. This unique project has gained widespread attention for its innovative approach to community-based support, collaboration, and its commitment to improving the lives of families. Born out of the collective vision and collaboration of stakeholders, Bundle has capitalized on community support, offering inventive solutions to the challenges faced by families, children, and caregivers in the Maine Highlands region. This initiative has become a symbol of resilience, unity, and the power of collective impact. Bundle is more than a program; it’s a testament to the strength of community connection and the transformative potential when diverse voices come together for a common purpose.
Bundle is the result of collaboration between nurses, home visitors, parents, and local partners. The Bundle project combines a supportive brand & messaging, a user-friendly, plain language website, and community-based efforts, making it easier for families to access and utilize the supports they may need. Bundle Boxes are special care packages designed to provide support and comfort to every family with a new baby in the Maine Highlands. These boxes are distributed not just as gifts, but as tokens of care at four key milestones during the first year of a child’s life. They represent our commitment to nurturing both the health of the child and the well-being of parents.
