Understanding Financial Statements with KeyBank

February 26 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

February 26 | 9:00–10:30 AM
700 Mount Hope Ave, Suite 101 in Bangor
Presenter: Zach Haynes, KeyBank

Financial statements play a critical role in nonprofit decision-making and governance, but they can often be intimidating for people without a background in finance or accounting. Join us for an interactive training designed to help you gain confidence and knowledge. Led by professionals from KeyBank, this training will focus on practical insights and on answering participants’ questions. Whether you’re a staff member or board member, this session will help you better understand what the numbers are telling you and what questions to ask. What you’ll come away with:

  • Greater confidence reviewing balance sheets, cash flow statements, and more
  • A clearer understanding of how financial statements provide important information that connects to mission and programs
  • Practical questions to bring back to discussions about your nonprofit’s financial position

No prior financial or accounting experience is needed. Participants are encouraged to bring questions or real-world examples. Registration is free, but advance sign-up is recommended.

This free training is part of The COMMUNITY: Maine’s Nonprofit Hub and our ongoing commitment to strengthening nonprofit capacity through practical, accessible learning opportunities.
