Joe comes to the United Way with 30 years of non-profit education experience. As Chief Development Officer, he plays a leadership role in coordinating the annual campaign.
He most recently worked for five years in the Maine Central Institute Advancement Office. Prior to that, he was a member of the University of Maine Athletic Department for 25 years. He started in the sports Information office, was promoted to director, and advanced to marketing, development, and eventually, a supervisory role overseeing those areas.
He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from UMaine.
Joe and his wife Nancy have two kids, both college students. He enjoys running, and is a member of the SUB5 Track Club board.
