After 13 years of dedicated service to Heart of Maine United Way — including nine years as President and CEO — Shirar will be concluding her tenure with the organization, with her final day on March 6.
Shirar’s leadership has helped shape who we are today. From launching Opportunity 2028 and its Bold Goals, to guiding Maine’s statewide COVID Response Fund, expanding our reach to six counties, and laying the groundwork for The COMMUNITY: Maine’s Nonprofit Hub, her impact on our organization and communities will be felt for years to come.
We are incredibly grateful for Shirar’s commitment to the mission and the strong foundation she leaves behind.
